Using the Holidays In Your Marketing Messages, etc.

Happy “Stay at Home Because You’re Well” Day!

(It’s true. It’s a real holiday. :)

There are tons and tons of great “off-beat” holidays you can tie your marketing message into to get the attention of your prospects and customers. But, I’ll get back to that in a moment.

Speaking of holidays, how was your Thanksgiving?

Quite frankly, I was full of Thanksgiving leftovers on Friday evening.  On Thursday alone, I had turkey omelets, turkey hash, turkey latkes, turkey soup, and my famous post-Thanksgiving turkey sandwich. I was so full of turkey, I felt like one! (Afterall, they do say, “You are what you eat!” :)

Anyway, it was a great couple days off, wasn’t it? I did get to go golfing on Friday. My nephew and I have a tradition of golfing the day after Thanksgiving, and then I make my famous post-Thanksgiving sandwich.

What could be better? Golf and a delicious sandwich! :)

Well, it’s over… for now! Next on the list of big holidays is Christmas (or whatever holiday you and your target market celebrate).

—-> How will you tie your marketing into these GREAT holiday opportunities?

By the way, if you’re looking for “any excuse” to mail to your herd(s), then check out this list of odd holidays at http://brownielocks.com/december.html  .  They have a list of monthly, weekly, and daily holidays for each month.

SURELY, you can find something to tie your marketing into, right?

It’s all about gaining attention (with the smaller, unknown holidays) and “entering the conversation already occurring in the prospects mind” (with the bigger, more known holidays).

Keep that in mind as you move forth throughout the month and into the New Year.
