Great Video: Jim Rohn on Personal Development

Jim Rohn has had the greatest influence on my philosophy about personal development.

His simple lessons given through personal stories and relevant biblical examples make it so easy to understand and put to use in our own lives.

If you don’t own any of Jim Rohn’s audio programs, I urge you to get his Continue reading

Inspirational Video: Rocky Balboa – “It Ain’t How Hard You Hit…”

When life gets tough – especially as an entrepreneur – it’s easy to blame others for not succeeding or reaching our goals.

In this video, Rocky Balboa (aka ‘Sylvester Stalone’) tells his son in an elegant way to “stop blaming others when you get hit with criticism, etc” and basically “get up and keep moving towards what you want.”

Become a Rancher of People

There’s something you should know about me.

I’m a Rancher.

It’s true.

Not a cattle rancher or anything like that.

I’m a “Rancher of People.”

When I started out as a consultant many moons ago, one of my biggest challenges was Continue reading

Find Out What Your Customers’ Pet-Peeves Are… And Fix’em Quick to Beat Out Your Competition!

If you didn’t know, I’ve had major plumbing problems over the past two weeks. Our Main Line broke under our house and it had to be replaced all the way out to the street.

The ‘Advertorial’, The Challenge Of Maximum Readership Reconsidered
by Dan Kennedy

And the argument for the “advertorial” i.e. an ad made to look like editorial material is that it is obvious; people buy newspapers and magazines for the articles, not the ads. But, like all dogma, ain’t necessarily so. For example, lots of people buy the Wednesday newspaper to get the supermarket coupons, buy the Friday or weekend newspaper to see the movie and nightclub ads. In analogy, people often go to national conventions more interested in the trade show than in the seminars, me included.

MY ADVICE: Continue reading

Good Quote on Procrastination

Here’s a quote I found in my November 1998 copy of the ‘then’ “Dan Kennedy’s No B.S. Marketing Letter.” I’ve been a member off and on in “The Inner Circle” since 1998 and still have copies in a binder sitting on my bookshelf for reference.

Here’s the quote I found on the front page of this newsletter: Continue reading
